Girls U8-U11

Whilst girls are able to play mixed rugby up to U11, like many clubs we have found that many girls don’t want to play in a mixed team, so we offer the option for junior school aged girls to train and play in a girls-only setting.
Many local clubs have also taken this step, but they have tended to focus at the older end of this age group.
The section is run by head coach, Tracy Parry and supported by several, well qualified coaches and is also supported by older girls who are developing their coaching and refereeing skills.

As with all sections, we’re all volunteers and always welcome anybody that wants to help out.

The girls train every Sunday morning, 10-11:30 alongside the Club Mini section.

We have fixtures and tournaments for the older girls (Y5 and Y6) and a small number of fixtures for the U9 (Y4) girls. For Y3 girls (U8) who are not allowed to train or play contact, we coach tag/touch rugby to develop their skills ahead of contact, however there will not be any competitive fixtures.
In our first year we introduced over 30 girls to the joy of playing rugby in a safe, well organised environment.
If your daughter wants to have a go at rugby, email me at frufcgirlsu11@hotmail.com
