U14 Girls make progress in their win against Havant

13 girls travelled to Havant in the sunshine willing and ready to play 15 aside rugby with the help of the friendly Havant team. Kudos to Lucie Dawson who chose to play hooker rather than her normal second row to ensure that every opportunity to secure possession was capitalised.

The game started with a bang for Farnham who retained position with plenty of commitment to rucking and an early try was secured. Soon after Havant went wide with some slick play and scored themselves.

Both teams knew from that point that a game was on. The difference in the end was Farnham's continued possession and their ability to score under the posts leading to 4 of their 5 tries being converted by the metronomic Eva Jenkins.

There was a brief Havant fightback leaving the final score 17 - 33, but ultimately Farnham played the better rugby to secure the win against a side that they lost to narrowly 21 - 24 at the beginning of the season.

This shows the progress that this spirited team has made over the season.
