Following on from last weeks impressive performance the girls have saved some of their best rugby for the end of the year.
Final 15-a-side match of the season was played on the Maidenhead 1st team pitch, in front of the stand with a strange blue and sunny sky....
From kick off Farnham gathered confidently and drove hard at Maidenhead, sucking in defenders until they decided to stretch their legs and captain Polly strode in for an impressive opener. As it was last game of the season try scorers took the conversions :). This proved to be a fun decision with some interesting attempts.
A great way to finish a tough season. The squad have stuck together all year, really growing as a team and keeping focused no matter what was thrown at them. Maidenhead were a fabulous host who have a great supportive group of girls who will look forward to next season.
POM (voted by oppo) - Renee-May (first season at Farnham has grown and grown in confidence)
Other mentions: All try scorers and kickers, the 2nd rows who played for the oppo to bolster their scrums and finally those playing out of positions as we mixed up the team and why not play a scrum half and full back in the back row?????
