In the first half Farnham countered anything Pulborough brought with Polly Milner, captain on the day going in for a brace of tries and by half time Farnham took a 15-0 lead. The second half saw a rejuvenated Pulbrough team who begin to make inroads on the scoreboard.

A fabulous break from Freya Mason gave Farnham the lead that we thought would finish the game. However Pulborough had different ideas, they kept coming back and sadly Farnham pushed too hard to regain control and the penalty count started to rise allowing Pulborough to keep the pressure on in Farnham's '22.

As time ran out Pulborough were still pushing with Farnham leading 22-17, and when Pulborough scrapped and scored leveling 22-22 and a tricky conversion to give them a battling win 22-24. Great game played by two really well matched teams. We look forward to the return fixture.
