B Team Effingham Update

The courageous squad got off to a flying start winning their first game against Chipstead with a convincing 6-0 scoreline, followed by a second thumping 7-2 victory against Old Rutlishians. The third game against Old Reedonians was a roller coaster of “tit for tat” scoring with Reeds taking the first try but then Farnham led the scoring until the final seconds when Reeds sealed the win 6-5. Lying second in their Group to Reeds, the solid Farnham squad played Guilford, the winners of the second group, in an eventful Grand Semi Final. The Guildford squad, with whom Farnham have had a number of balanced games in the recent weeks, took an early lead but Farnham promised a great comeback in the second half unleashing a dogged attack scoring 3 skilful tries, however this could not alter the final score of 6-3 in Guildford’s favour.
