Another win for the U7 As

They won their opening game against Henley 7 -5, which was very satisfactory. We followed that up with some convincing victories over Bracknell 11 -2, Maidenhead 9 -2 and Redingensians 2nd team, 8-2. So 4 bonus point victories meant we were the top seeded team in the Semi Finals.

This meant a return game against Henley who were the best placed runners, up. A very close game ending in a draw 4-4, with Farnham winning because they had beaten them previously and had a better pool record.

So into the final against Redingensians 1st team. A very tense game, which we managed to stay just ahead throughout, ended with a 6-5 victory with Stanley Platt scoring in the final minute of the game, to give Farnham Victory.

A few special mentions, Oli McCulloch for scoring 3 tries, in our Semi Final Victory over Henley. Reuben Anthony, for his most complete performance in a tournament and some great support play. Tom Dickin, for taking his great work into previous tournaments and this week scoring 7 tries in total. Lastly, Tom Humphreys, for some unbelievable tagging and scoring a try which bounced off an opposition player’s head, which he caught and ran in to score.
