A substantial Chobham side attended Wilkinson way this morning for a friendly match against the U13As. Chobham are always a tough side to beat and this occasion proved no exception. Chobham scored first when the Farnham boys let in a soft try from a slightly short clearance kick but they were unable to convert it to leave the score at 0-5.
Later in the first 25 minute half, after a period of sustained pressure from Farnham, a super Max C-H try equalised the scores and a Johnny Wilkinson like kick from Finlay delivered the extra 2 points to put Farnham in the lead.
The Second half saw Farnham with more than their share of the possession and the majority of the territory but the boys failed to turn this into points which is something to work on in training next week. However the final score at 7-5 was a fair representation of the game.
Thanks must go to Chobham for a great game played in good spirits. We look forward to meeting them again in the league match next February.
