The Old Reigatian 1st team pitch proved to be a spectacular setting for the Hampstead Gold Cup Final between Cranleigh U16s and Farnham U16 Bs. Farnham started strongly. Aided by a powerful breeze, Farnham scored two early tries by utilising the width of the pitch and their many pacey runners. Cranleigh gained momentum at the close of the half by scoring a try against the run of play to set up an exciting second half. They maintained their momentum, but could not score despite being camped on the Farnham line for the first 15 mins of the second half. Farnham eventually reverted to the wide game that had served them so well in the first half and clicked back into gear to score four excellent tries. The final score was 38-5. Every one of Farnham's 23 players produced a memorable moment in what proved to be the perfect end to their time as juniors.
