It was a hot day in South London, not the most ideal weather for a rugby match; we had a mixed group of lads from young to old. We were confident going in to the game the game started and we were reserving, which was successfully caught and taken in to contact, this was followed by some good phases by Farnham, quick ball down the line resulted in Ed Keogh storming down the wing and drawing the full back with a pop back in side for an easy run under the post which was converted. This boosted our confidence. Then we stated making some silly errors due to not enough communication and conceded 3 tries in a row. We gathered ourselves together and made our weaknesses in to our strength we stated to communicate, out game started to pick back up again with quick off loads and handing which resulted in us putting more points on the board.
At half time we got some water on board with Vince giving us a team talk. We when in to the second half with the lead a nice high kick off which when to old Pauline’s number 8 who was swept off his feet by a huge hit by Nathanel. Put us off to a good start with the gain of possession to Farnham, we continued with quick clean ball which resulted with tries from Josh Curran and others showing that good communication results in clean ball and organised attack and defence. We conceded late one in the game which made us want to get one last try before the final whistle, with good handing we broke through old Pauline’s defence with half the pitch to run in to the corner for a final score which was converted by Craig.
