But all happy with a 43-0 win

This was an impressive yet frustrating win for Farnham - a clean sheet coaches Jamie Salmon and Matt Shields pleased - but there was so much more in the visitors' locker.
Trojans have had had a mixed start with tough fixtures against Eastleigh and Teddington - both losses - but a good win against US Pompey last week gave them confidence coming into this fixture.
Misguided confidence as Farnham began to rumble from the second minute. Quality line out ball from James Franklin with Lennie Jennings on the money - a dynamic drive with a typical Toby Comley burst - through the three quarters to Dave Hurley - disdainful side step and in 0-7 with the extras from skipper Mike Salmon.
Farnham are playing into a swirling wind and possession is difficult to maintain - the watching experts cannot understand the number of handling errors "in my day!!". Everything needs to be tidied up. Passing, timing and patience are all pre-requisites.
Trojans are starting to go through the phases but there is nothing clinical - the Farnham defence enjoying the upper hand. Still scrappy the wind annoying and teasing the lifeblood out of the game.
The Farnham defence is more impressive than the attack - the boys begin to show their frustration.
At last - pressure to the Trojans corner flag - scrum Farnham and Pete Daly on the charge to free up Mike Salmon with a deft offload - try and the extras for the skipper. 0 - 14.
No more mercy Farnham attack from the kick off - the Trojans scrum has been decimated in the first half - props peeling off and forced to trundle back 10-15 metres - no respite they are being punished. Five metre scrum - Jorris, Jennings and Trodden stay square - big shunt - Daly with the pushover. Extras for Mike Salmon 0-21 and half time not soon enough for Trojans.
Now the frustration mounts the second half starts with two rainbows ending in the Trojans dug-out - no crock, however, their front are falling like flies - battered into submission - under these circumstances the team relenting should go down to fourteen men. Not clear on this occasion so Farnham continue yet the sting and momentum have gone from the game. A difficult area which perhaps needs to be looked at. Farnham enjoyed some useful defence training practice and doubled their score.
Penalty for Mike Salmon 0-24.
Superb break out culminating in Pete Daly crashing over. 0-29. The Salmon boys then go on the rampage - Toby junking to the line with easy points for brother Mike. 0 - 36.
A sleepy second half ends with a delightful chip and chase - Luke Jermyn outstripping his opposite number - trip or premature tackle - no matter - penalty try to give Toby Salmon an easy two with bother Michael off with a twinge.
A satisfying first half into a very teasing wind set Farnham up to complete the job in the second half - it was not to be - these things happen and next week's encounter with Teddington will show how far this Farnham squad have come.
The faithful enjoyed it and the consensus was almost unanimous:
Podium Points

Toby Comley - another super all round display - 3 points
Lennie Jennings - playing some of the best rugby of his career - 2 pts
Toby Salmon - so consistent and always the try of the match - 1 pt.

Teddington at home next Saturday - come for the match and lunch.
1.30 for lunch for a 3 pm kick off.
