Farnham travelled to Hungerford with a depleted team to play a match that was postponed a week due to Storm Darragh.

The first score came after 8 mins with Flyhalf Mae Dickinson running in in the corner followed by another 8 mins later by Sharae Rattigan which was converted by Mae Dickinson taking the score to 0-12 after 17mins. The next 6 mins saw the tables turned with two quick converted try’s putting WBW 14-12 ahead… game on.

What happened next was incredible with Daisy Maskell, Eliza Barraud and Jess Pratt (2) running in an amazing 4 try’s in 6 mins of play (1 conversion by Mae in some of the windiest conditions experienced this year) leaving the scoreline 14-32 at half time.

The second half looked like it was going to carry on the same way with Lexi Cobb and Mae Dickinson scoring 1 each in 8 mins with a further conversion added by Lexi Cobb showing her versatility.

WBW struck back with a try which proved to spur them on putting up a resolute defence that stifled Farnham’s attack. One final converted try (Daisy Maskell and Mae Dickinson) in the last play of the match closed the score at 53-19.

The result leaves Farnham top of their pool in the HOB with 15 points from three games. A great way to finish the first half of the season.

Their next game sees them at home in The Surrey Cup against Sutton & Epsom / Old Rutts on 12th January.
