Following a fabulous night out for the parents at the Hogs Back Brewery last night it was the turn of the girls to impress against Guildford.
Bouncing back from a tough match against Trojans last week the Farnham girls were keen to rebuild. we took 2 teams to play Guildford and Camberley in 2 x 20 min matches. We then finished with 20min mixed 15 a-side training match with mixed, balanced sides.
Playing on Guildford 1st team pitch meant there was lots of space to play although early encounters were exchanged in the midfield. The first period saw Farnham go into the lead with tries from Poppy Filer, Lara Staton and Molly Warnes whilst Poppy converted her own score. Farnham then made a full team change for the second period. Guildford fought back hard with 2 tries but further scores for Farnham from Amelie Netherton, Emily Watson (converting) and finally Ettie Hardcastle (converted by Gracie Price) meant Farnham took finished in front 36-19.
We decided to finish the morning off with a mixed Farnham and Guildford 15 a-side match in front of Lucy Packer - England Red Rose who spoke and answered questions from the girls at the end of the match.
Tries from Ettie Biggs and a brace for Amelie Moran finshed off a fine run out for all the girls.
A fabulous morning played in great spirit and hopefully some added inspiration from Lucy!
