Farnham U16s welcomed Havant RFC to Wilkinson Way on Sunday for a friendly fixture ahead of their final Surrey Cup clash next weekend.

With both sides gearing up for a season finale and coming off a lengthy lay-off, they opted for a mixed-format fixture featuring both XVs and 10s.

The visitors began brightly and a well-worked try gave them the early lead but Farnham struck back with an impressive try of their own through Lola W with Eva J adding the extras.

But Havant were quick to reassert their dominance with some notable work at the break down laying the foundation for two further scores.

Farnham eventually found their rhythm with Molly W powering over before Lola W notched her second try - with both converted by Eva J.

However, Havant had the final say in the half with a try shortly before the break.

Following a switch to 10s format, Lola W completed her hat-trick with Eva J notching her fourth conversion. Havant replied once more before a couple of injuries prompted their decision to bring a premature end to the game.

Farnham's focus will now switch to their season finale against Guilfordians in the Surrey Cup Finals Day at Wimbledon RFC next weekend.
