Farnham U16s rounded out their 2025-26 campaign with arguably their best performance of the season on their way to a thrilling 63-27 victory over Surrey Cup rivals Guildfordians in their Plate clash at Wimbledon RFC.
A dominant Farnham side ran in a total of nine tries with Jessica H, Amelie M and Daisy M leading the way with two tries apiece. Rose C, Molly W and Lara S also crossed the whitewash while Eva J was faultless from the tee with all nine conversions.
But this result was not built on individual excellence, rather an all-action and lung-busting team performance with every player rising to the occasion and delivering their best in what proved to be a fitting finale to an often bruising but ultimately rewarding season.
Farnham were punished for a slow start with Guildfordians scything through for the opening score of the game but it only served to spark their opponents into action.
Tries from Rose C, Jess H and Amelie M soon turned the game on its head with Eva J's boot underlining Farnham's superiority.
Jess H had her second before the midway point in the half and two tries in as many minutes from Daisy M heaped further woe on Guildfordians. Molly W notched Farnham's seventh try before the half hour mark with Eva J's latest conversion extending Farnham's lead to 49-7.
To their credit, Guildfordians had the final say in the half with their second try of the game and were once again quickest out of the starting blocks after the break with another score.
Farnham's intensity and work rate was starting to take its toll but the scoreboard kept ticking over with Amelie M grabbing her second try.
Guildfordians' task became all the more tougher with a yellow card on the hour and Farnham made them pay with Lara S darting over for her side's ninth score of the day.
Eva J's conversion took her side out to a 63-17 lead and her season tally to 100 points before two late scores from Guildfordians brought them some due reward for their efforts but there can be no doubt that this was Farnham's day.
