This page is designed to help aspiring & active referees to support the club.

IMPORTANT
If you provide refereeing through an appointment via, for example the London Society (or Surrey Rugby) you will be covered by these organisations' insurance.
If you referee without such an appointment, so "informally" via Team Managers, you should be included (named) on FRUFC's insurance policy.
Ask the Team Manager, or Club Section Head, to ensure you are named on the club's policy before you start reffing.
Lastly, you should not wear Society or Surrey kit when reffing informally.
Reff shirts can be bought via the RFU's Club Hub (https://englandrugbyclubhub.com/)
or Gilbert has a neat but somewhat expensive reversible shirt (https://www.worldrugbyshop.com/collections/rugby-referees/products/reversible-referee-jersey).

The London Society generally supplies referees for all Senior, plus U17 & U18 matches, if the teams apply for a Society referee via the "Who's The Reff" website.
Alternatively Surrey Rugby has referees, although I've never tried to secure one!

If you are an FRUFC club member & have completed the ELRA referee training & would like to offer refereeing services to the Mini-Junior age groups please identify, then contact the relevant Team Managers, via the respective age group section on this website & liaise directly with them.
You can also let the Mini-Junior Chairman know about your availability.

The London Society South-west region has monthly evening meetings, typically on the second Monday, held at KCS RFC near Motspur Park, starting around 7.30 pm and finishing at 9.00 pm.

You're welcome to come along to see how a "Society" reff is supported, assigned, mentored and assessed.

As of September 2021 Society referees have to be DBS cleared, via the RFU, in order to officiate any U18, or younger, games.
You may be able to get DBS clearance via the club, if you are a club member.
