The Falcons 1XV had a longer commute in their league fixture this weekend, travelling to Tonbridge Juddian Ladies. Due to adverse weather conditions and a very soggy pitch at Tonbridge home ground, the match was thankfully relocated so the game could continue on as planned.
The game itself was a show of hard work, stamina and determination to keep the ball alive and in the Falcons favour. The team played hard and the affects of the match will surely be felt by both teams in the morning but a result to celebrate regardless of bruising! Numerous line breaks and side steps aplenty from the team gave the Falcons the edge on the scoreboard against a seasoned opposition. The Falcons gave it their all, right up until the final whistle blew as Tonbridge attempted to make a come back at the score line.
Despite their efforts, a stronger defensive wall was no match for the opposition to catch the Falcons dominate score, and the match ended with a win for the 1XV of 43-24. A brilliant boost and display of rugby by the team in a competitive league table, the Falcons momentum is continuing to build and the hunger for the next win in on the cards for the squad.
