Player Report by: Rob & Barney Swift
Ben Atkins: Powerful prop with punishing tackles and a great ability to pop up with the ball and score – which he did, twice!
Matthew Coleman: Headfirst into the contact zones without a second thought and showed good hands for ripping and passing.
Noah Eldridge: Endless energy and fleet of foot through some very demanding ground. Always aware of his position and ready to receive.
Nicholas Fernandez: Went through the opposition lines with ease, making holes like double doors for others to step through and score.
Jamie Finlayson: Showed his lightning speed and handling skills to his opposite numbers all day long.
Nye Johnson: Wanted this win more than anyone out there and finally got it. Notably played with a big smile throughout, which was great to see!
Louis Morgan: Relentless power-play from a player who could probably win a festival on his own! Never dull to watch.
Max Parker: Hooked balls we had no right to win even when our scrum was sliding backwards! Concrete blocker in the tackle.
William Shaw: Exhibition tackling and festival-winning anger management! No one with the ball was safe…
Barney Swift: Improving in confidence, contributing some crucial tackles and decent distribution when it mattered most.
Harry Tote: Quite simply, a thoroughbred showing how to win on a good to heavy track!
Daniel Turner: Superb finisher who would know where the try line is even in the dark.
Finbarr Wormwell: Last but certainly not least, combining speed with power like a mini pro player. Got us off the hook more than once.

Festival Report by: Rob & Barney Swift
It took no more than a couple of minutes for Farnham’s fiery U10’s to wake up and realize they were in their first festival of the year and up to their knees in glorious mud. The boys took no chances – and no prisoners – in seeing off Sutton & Epsom with a show of early team strength and fine individual running from Harry Tote.
Chobham put up more serious resistance but brute force from Finbarr and fine rucking all round saw them off too with two tries in the second half. This more even match-up also saw Farnham concede their ONLY try of the whole festival. Shame on you!
The shut-out continued as Wimbledon were brushed aside with Harry, Barney, Ben and Daniel seemingly scoring for fun.
Coach Dominic made sure complacency didn’t set in during a long wait for the next game against Reeds who fought bravely through a scoreless first half but were finally broken towards the final whistle by relentless rolling mauls and rucks centered mostly around a strength-sapping midfield mud bath; peerless Harry Tote finally jinking through to touch down and take Farnham within touching distance of the trophy.
If there were nerves among the by-now battle-hardened ranks of the Farnham line-up facing the XXXL-sized London Irish pack in what turned out to be the trophy decider, they soon blew away with the icy wind. Daniel Turner smashed his way over the line a total of three times to add to Farnham’s tally of 21 tries in total (105 pts!).
Every player put everything into a fine festival victory, staying focused throughout a long, cold day and thoroughly deserved their trophies and medals to a man!
