Sunday 7th October saw the 1st "Home" festival held at the new club ground and the U10 "A"s made a good start conceeding only 2 tries in four games.

Festival: Waverley A Festival.
Date: 7th Oct 2012
Players: Finlay Anderson, Max Campbell Harris, Charlie Cochrane, Ben Creegan, Max Foskett, George Guy, Josh Hazell, Hamish Hudson, Oliver Kirkpatrick, Dylan Milner, Christopher Ratcliffe, Ben Walters, Hamish Watson.
Coaches: Sam Foskett, Rob Milner , Jeremy Campbell-Harris

Game 1 Result: Farnham 2 vs Cranleigh 0
Try Scorers: Max Foskett 2
A spirited match and a great start for the 2012 “A”s. Max Foskett narrowly missed out on a hat trick making two classy tries. There was good work from the whole squad with some inventive off-loads.

Game 2 Result: Guildford 0 vs. Farnham 0
Try Scorers: Nil
A tight game. Both sides looked a little nervous with some reluctance to get stuck-in. There was some valiant defending with some big tackles made by Max C-H and Finlay Anderson but many opportunities were lost by not getting the ball out to the wings. The score line was a fair reflection of the fact that both sides were evenly matched.

Game 3 Result: Farnham 1 vs. Camberley 2
Try Scorers: George Guy
Camberley proved worthy winners of this game after scoring the only two tries conceded by Farnham in the whole festival. This was despite the best efforts of Charlie Cochrane who combined some inventive running with a try-saving tackle on a determined Camberley player. George Guy scored an excellent try towards the end of the game to bring the score to 1-2, which galvanised the Farnham team scenting a chance to equalise. Unfortunately the final whistle brought the game to a close just as it looked like Farnham might draw even after a period of sustained pressure.

Game 4 Result: 3rd/4th Playoff Farnham 5 vs Cranleigh 0
Try Scorers: C Ratcliffe 1, M Foskett 1, B Cregeen 1, D Milner 2
The 3rd/4th playoff saw Farnham taking on Cranleigh in a repeat of the first match of the festival and this time Farnham were keen to show what they were made of. Chris Ratcliffe opened the scoring and was swiftly followed over the line by Max Foskett with his third try of the festival. Ben Cregeen touched down for a great try early in the second half to take the score to three – nil and then Dylan Milner scored two more for a five – nil final score. A well deserved result !

Player Report by: Chris Ratcliffe
We did well at hitting the rucks hard and this set us up to make some good runs for the line to score. We also did really well in the scrums when we pushed the opposition off their ball a number of times.
Our line-out performance was not so good and a lack of good passes meant we didn’t get the ball out to the wings enough which made it difficult to beat the better quality teams such as Guildford and Camberley.
Overall we had a good festival and it was great to hold one at our home ground for the first time.
