U12s deliver a massive performance at the Harlequins Land Rover festival

Today, Farnham U12s and U11s hosted the first Harlequins Landrover festival at the club and what a massive day it was.

To quote Steve Tomlinson, Minis Chairman, "The U11s and U12s did the club proud today" and boy is he right!

The mighty Farnham U12 Bs, bolstered by a great performance from new recruit Sam Wright, got all the way to the Final where they were defeated by a strong Guildford side.

The U12 As went one better, defeating Battersea in the semi final, a feat I don't think we have ever achieved before, on the way to the grand final where we drew with Chobham. Every single one of our boys put in a massive effort and played as a team with spirit and commitment. They made all the onlooking parents proud and should be proud of the way they represented the club as ambassadors.

The day was capped off as international referee, Wayne Barnes, fresh from refereeing the Bath vs Sale Sharks Premiership game on Friday evening, generously gave his time to come to see us at Wilkinson Way and indeed refereed some of the matches.

Harlequins 6"5' lock, George Robson, also came along to cheer the boys on which was massively appreciated, especially considering this is his last season with the club before he moves on to join French Top 14 side Oyonnax next season.

A massive thank you to all the parents who helped out on the car parking and catering rotas and of course to our coaches, without whom etc...
