Delayed, but undefeated!

Bad traffic on the M25, saw half the warriors team stuck on it when kick off time arrived, Fortunately the ref had also been stuck in it and delayed kick off until 3:30. This meant that half the team came straight out of the changing rooms and into the game with no warm up. To the credit of the team this seemed to have very little effect and on our first possession, some good hands through the backs saw fly-half Andy James looping round to score in the corner, but unfortunately failed to convert.
Another good passage of play on the restart and Warriors were back down to the opposition 5 yard line, where Reigatians conceded a penalty that scrum-half Carl Brown took quickly Allowing the young flanker Ashley to crash over for their second try. The Old Reigatians side seemed to wake up at this point and after a period of strong play from both sides, the home team managed to find a break allowing their left winger to sneak in for a score.
Now realising this wasn't going to be as easy a game as first thought Farnham stepped up their game again and another period of pressure allowed 2nd row Andy Stent to drive over at short range for the warriors third of the day. Old Reigations came back again, but Farnham comfortably held out until half time.
For most of the second half Farnham seemed to be the dominant side, but squandered numerous opportunities to score, either through poor handling or runners getting isolated. They finally pick up more points from another quick penalty and Mike Williams cutting thorough the defence to then generously gift the try to Carl Brown. A bit later, some good passing play down the right wing allowed Andy James to stretch over for his second of the day.
With only 3 minutes left of the match, a break from the Reigatians scrum half saw him taken down by and (accidental?) trip from Kevin Saltana, for which he was sin binned for the remainder of the game. Sensing the opportunity for a conciliation try the home side put on relentless pressure for the last few minutes and were rewarded with a try as the last play of the game.
