The As fell short at home to Guildford in the Quins Cup semi final. In a hard fought encounter the visitors deservedly edged it with a converted try 5 mins from the end to win 14/9. Farnham were up 9/7 courtesy of three kicks from Pat Sykes. They showed plenty of heart and defensive grit but just couldn’t impose their game. Guildford’s superior power proved the difference.
