Contrasting performances today for the Academy. The As overcame local rivals Camberley in a highly physical but hard fought encounter. The visitors took an early lead before Mikey Leybourne went over from close range. Minutes later Fred Harris went on following an run on a wide arc - both were converted by Archie Rushin. Camberley spent the rest of the half close to our line but only secured a solitary penalty for their efforts. 14/8 at the break.

The second half began at a similar frenetic pace and nine minutes in Fin McManus broke the line. Again the visitors held Farnham at bay before a dozen minutes later Will Mellor went over in the corner with a fine conversion from Pat Sykes. Five minutes on, an interception from Will Whybro under the posts sealed the win. Camberley never gave up and got their reward near the end. Final score 33/15.

Next up in the semi final is another local derby in Guildford in a fortnight.

The Bs travelled to a strong London Scottish belying their tier 4 status losing 54/5, our sole score coming from Austen Bassett.
