Having seen team 1 put in a strong performance, team 2 were determined to start well from the off. A well balanced start initially but losing Ryan to a shoulder injury after only a few minutes meant a quick reshuffle in the pack. Onwards, it quickly became apparent that we would be up against some inconsistent decisions from the match official and this was overall a negative point to a competitive game. This included a dropped ball over the try line which was clear to everyone including the King (who was watching from his balcony) but awarded anyhow. Thus went the flow in the first half. Lots of spirit shown by our boys inspite of some rather dangerous foul play which again went unseen!!
We did manage to score and spirits were lifted, it was not all going Windsor’s way. Half time saw a numbers of replacements. Highlight of the half for me was a cracking break by Noah to almost make it through from our 10m to nearly score. Lineout worked and so did the rolling maul, some great tackles from all and a strong finish.
Great effort and behaviour shown by the boys. I am proud of you.
Net result they scored more than we did.
