Academy win 33-41 Away to Basingstoke in the Hampshire League

With Farnham typically taking 25 mins to wake up and realise they have a game on their hands, the first half saw us against the wind and with sun in our eyes but we held on with some tenacity and went in at half time 26-17.

Boys came back and Basingstoke only scored once in second half. Lots of good team work and a bit of self belief, plus wind and sun helped us to play in their half and dominate in this second half.

A few boys out of position due to late drop outs but all played their socks off. Basingstoke selected Eddie Buckton as player of the match, and given he only played a half, itshowed how much impact he had. Last try of the game went to Ollie Lewis who then only just missed his conversion (bear in mind he is a prop).

Lovely post match curry and a good day was had by all, well done boys.

Now comes the big test with Dorking in the Surrey cup......
