U23 Players Feature Strongly in Our Senior Squads

It doesn’t matter where the lads go when they leave school we want to keep them in the game. We run an u23s side to keep the connection with the club. More so, we want them involved. Our seniors see the importance in this and strive to make Farnham a place these lads want to be when they make the transition between Junior and Senior rugby.

Gary Stennett our Director Of Rugby says “We want to foster a long term love of rugby. Regardless of where boys are at the end of their Academy journey we will find a team for them. When they go to University or move away in their chosen career we want them to know, they’re always welcome at Farnham. This year alone we have had 20+ u23s feature in our senior squads - they are critical to the success of our senior squad. They are our future. This is something we feel very strongly about at Farnham . Ali Chisholm our Head Coach firmly believes in this ethos and you only need to look at his squad selection this season to see proof of that.”
