Since 2019, Farnham Rugby Club has raised almost a quarter of a million pounds for men's health. What began with 37 members raising £8,983 has grown into an extraordinary club-wide effort, raising £55,843 last year alone. In 2025, we were No.1 in Movember's UK Sport Challenge, second among all UK fundraising teams and 17th worldwide. Not bad for a community rugby club in Farnham!
And this year we're going bigger. On 20–21 November, more than 80 members, players, sponsors and supporters are expected to take part in our sixth annual Mo Walk. The challenge begins with a visit to Twickenham's Allianz Stadium, including the pitch and players' tunnel tour, before tackling the 60km overnight walk back to Farnham. Along the way, fellow club members motivate the troops with refreshment stops and support before everyone arrives back at Wilkinson Way on Saturday in time for the First XV kick-off.
Of course behind the fun, camaraderie and extraordinary fundraising is a serious purpose. Movember supports vital work in men's mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Every step, every donation and every conversation helps make a difference.
This is what makes our club so special. And about more than the rugby. It’s about coming together, looking out for each other and achieving something far bigger than any of us could alone.
Let's smash through that quarter-of-a-million-pound milestone together. Please donate if you can here.
There’s still time to join the walkers. If you want to take part, register here.
Come and welcome them home on Saturday 21 November. Join us at the club, stay for the First XV match or book into the supporters' lunch beforehand.
