Farnham v Cobham
Farnham got off to a slow start, getting used to playing with a wet ball. Cobham scored first but were soon put under pressure from Jamie Lloyd-Mostyn and Barney Allaway’s tackling and Nicolas Gordon, James Purnell and Oliver Cunningham’s penetrating runs. Some great passing led to tries from Ollie Wilkinson and Barney Allaway.

Farnham v Warlingham
Farnham got off to a flying start with a try in the first minute by Oliver Wilkinson quickly followed by a fantastic tackle into touch by Ruben, saving a try by Warlingham. Bassy Sturge, Ruben Hoskins, Nicolas Gordon, Oliver Waghorn, Jack Fontaine and Ollie Wilkinson scored subsequent tries but the match was won largely through committed tackling by Nicolas Gordon, Ruben Hoskins, Bassy Sturge, Jamie Lloyd-Mostyn, Angus Watson, Ollie Wilkinson and also through executing set piece play to use Nicolas Gordon’s power to penetrate the opposition’s line.

Farnham v Reeds Weybridge
Farnham showed the hosts no mercy after allowing them the first try. Set piece play and excellent tackling by Oliver Waghorn, Ollie Wilkinson, Jamie Lloyd-Mostyn, Oliver Cunningham, Angus Watson, Ruben Hoskins and Nicolas Gordon led to trys by Ollie Wilkinson, Barney Allaway, Nicholas Gordon and James Purnell. The boys played with fantastic team work, some excellent passing, helping each other with challenging tackles, keeping the defensive line and more of an awareness of where their team mates were in support.

Farnham v Teddington
A nail biter. After early tries by both teams the pace didn’t relent. There were valiant tackles by Bassy Sturge, Oliver Waghorn, Jack Fontaine, Barney Allaway, Austin Bradshaw and Ollie Wilkinson with several boys saving opposition tries through tackles into touch and Jamie taking a diving tackle on the line to save a winning try from Teddington. Tries were scored by Austin Bradshaw, Ollie Wilkinson, Jack Fontaine, Bassy Sturge and Oliver Cunningham.

Farnham v Roslyn Park
Farnham romped straight into the final but were starting to feel the effects of us all ignoring the met office. Roslyn Park (all large players) knocked their confidence with 2 early and seemingly effortless successive tries. They fought back with some great set piece play using Nicolas Gordon to penetrate Roslyn Park’s line, a lovely pass by Austin Bradshaw, break away runs by Reuben Hoskins, James Purnell, Ollie Waghorn, Oliver Cunningham and Ollie Wilkinson. 1-5 down at half time was a tough call but team spirit held and gutsy tackles by Austin Bradshaw, Nicolas Gordon, James Purnell and Jamie Lloyd-Mostyn limited the damage in the second half. Tries by James Purnell and Ollie Wilkinson were well set up by the forward team.
