Match Preview

This Sunday The As will be playing a friendly match at Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Club. The match will take place on the Bowl pitch which is in front of the clubhouse & nearest to the Guildford to Leatherhead main road (A246) – the pitch is available from 10am onwards.

Unfortunately on Sunday mornings the club car park is for the Mini age groups only - so ALL Junior age groups need to park in the Howard of Effingham school car park (post code - KT24 5JR) and walk round to the pitch.

It’s a short walk (c 5 mins) - from the school car park to the pitches. Go around the netball courts, turn right when you reach the mud track and follow your nose to the pitches! There should be some E&L players/parents making the same trek so if in doubt please follow them!

If you want to drop of heavy/bulky items (eg tackle bags, ball bags, front row forwards! etc) please do so at the club car park but then please head round to the Howard to park.

We will provide a hot meal for ALL the players after the match – ie approx 12.15pm

We’d like all the players to change after the match so the club house doesn't get too muddy - Club ties, White Shirts, School Trousers and shoes please – there are changing rooms on the ground floor of the clubhouse so please grab one before/after the match as required.
