Farnham RUFC Annual Seven's Competition

Farnham RFC
Annual Sevens Tournament

The tournament is intended to cater for both serious and sociable teams, and hence is organised on a pool basis where teams play each other on a round robin basis before teams progress into the appropriate knockout competition.

Tournament Rules

12 players registered at the start of the competition can be used by each team. This will be strictly enforced in the serious competition this year (n.b. the organiser reserves the right to allow further replacements if a need is identified).

Five substitutes can be used in the main competition, whilst in the social competition rolling substitutions are allowed between the entire squad.

Matches will be seven minutes each way.

In the knockout phase drawn matches will be decided by a sudden death score.

In the pool stage 3 points are awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw.

In the event of a tie in the pool stage positioning will be decided by the result between equal teams, followed by points scored, and then points difference. In the event of teams still being level a boat race will be held to establish the winners!

All starts, re-starts, and conversions will be drop kicks.

Scoring team to kick off to opposition.

Any player sent off for abusing an official or for violent conduct shall be ejected from the competition.

The organiser’s decision is final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
