Well it was a tough one. we started so well with an early try by Josh Creedy and were piling on the pressure. A second try was produced (guess who by?) and brilliantly converted by Andrew Lloyd (where did he get his kicking skills from?) and we looked well placed. Perhaps that was the danger or perhaps we failed to believe in ourselves. We started to get opened up towards the end of the first half and were lucky not to concede, in fact we defended well and at half time we were 12-0 up. But in the second half we were pinned down in our half and for a lot of time in our 22 and you can't score from there. We were failing to get our first tackle in and sometimes they had gone 20m before being nailed. They were moving the ball wide and pulling our players in to create an overlap and scored. Their kicker was very good and converted, the second try followed and was converted and there it remained at 14-12 to S & E. We are in the top league and we do get punished for errors that we might get away with against lesser teams. We have some things to work on and everyone needs to think what they did well and not so well. Don't get despondant we will work to improve. On a very positive note the referee who sees it better than anyone thought it was a brilliant match with both sides playing very well but at different stages. He also commented on the spirit and good nature of both teams and that is a credit to you.
