We had 2 big league matches on Sunday of which we won one and lost one, however I am really pleased with the way everyone played. Firstly I am really delighted to hear our Bs (will this be the last time they are refered to as such?!) beat Weybridge by 2 tries to 1 in our first ever league match. Whilst I was unable to watch Steve and Guy gave me a glowing report and it is a fantastic result and tribute to everyone's effort. We were worried we would not get enough players but on the day we even had a couple of subs. Welcome to the new players , I hope you will come next week. The A 's had a predictably tough match which we lost 20-7. Cobham are an excellent side and league winners last year. We played really well, producing some excellent rugby and held them despite losing 5 players with injuries in the match, not to mention the three that were unable to start! What struck was the shear determination of every single player in the team, if we keep that going we will be very successful this year. The Cobham coach was very complimentary about our skill and the spirit in which we played. So very well done to every Under 14 team member, you can be proud of the performance!
