Winners London Irish u11 B's mini festival

Following on from an impressive show at the Surrey B tournament 2 weeks ago, Farnham B's won every match on their way to the final of the London Irish B's mini festival! Good rucks, fast hands and mobile forward work provided great ball to the backs who handled superbly. Farnham dominated the final against London Irish Lions from the start. Rugged defence held them up on the line time and again, leaving the game ended in a 0-0 draw, but this was enough to give Farnham the title on points scored throughout the day. During this and the Surrey B tournaments Farnham U11 Bs scored 13 tries and conceded just one, winning them the cup in a style.

SURREY U11 CHAMPIONS 2008

An outstanding day of rugby where we won a very hard group of 6 teams. We then went on to beat Sutton & Epsom, the winners for the past 2 years, in the semi final and Richmond in the final! It was a great display by the whole A squad and a true team effort. It also reflects the strength of the Farnham u11 squad and therefore everyone in the squad should be justifiably proud.

PRESENTATION DAY - SUNDAY 4th MAY

A morning of fun and games followed by the presentations of medals and trophies and the usual bbq, bar etc.
The plan for the u11's is a 7's tournament with mixed squads including coaches as players.(Coaches will not be tackling (!) just two-handed touch tackles)
We will also need an u11's Parents Team to take part in an Inter Age Group TAG Rugby Competition. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS SO PLEASE COME SUITABLY PREPARED TO RUN AROUND!

This website is designed to all those interested in what we are doing as a squad, well informed. The majority of the site is about fixtures, training session results, coaching sessions and tips and is aimed at the members of the squad, their parents and out legions of supporters!
If you are new to Farnham Rugby Club and contemplating whether you or your child should join in this great sport, then here is what we do:
- we have a squad of 50 children (mostly boys but we do have a couple of girls) at our age group
- our aim is to ensure that they all have great fun enjoying learning the game of rugby
- the squad moved into full contact rugby (tackling and scrums) at the under 9 stage
- we are now moving from 9-a-side to 12-a-side through the introduction of second row and full back
- we run 3 teams and all players will get plenty of competitive rugby
Hopefully that excites you to register your interest with us. To do so you should e-mail Kim Stone() with the details of parent(s) name(s), phone numbers and e-mail and the name and date of birth of the player. We do cap our numbers at 50 and once we receive your registration of interest we will let you know if we are currently running a waiting list.
