Building on Success In a little over 30 years, Farnham Rugby Club has: Grown to become Farnham's largest charitable community sports club with over 1000 members. With more than 100 senior rugby players. Over 600 boys and girls from as young as 6 years old, regularly playing rugby. Support from over 100 volunteers including more than 80 qualified coaches. Achieved notable success, including being Surrey Champions at minis level and League Champions at junior level. Has produced a number of players who have achieved international honours such as Jonny Wilkinson and Peter Richards, both England full internationals, Ryan Wilson (Scotland U19), Joe MacManus (Ireland U18) and Ian Holloway (England U16).
But our continued success has seen us outgrow our current facilities and for 10 long years, we have sought to move to a new ground. Our goal is to become the area’s number one community club so that we can continue to build on our success. After much hard work, and a Public Inquiry, we have now found a new home and we need your help to make our goal a reality. Despite the current economic climate, the club has already had considerable success in securing funding for the development of the new site which will cost in the order of £1.5m. However, the club still needs to find further substantial funding for the move.
To do this we need the help of not only our members but also the wider community and local businesses.
