CLICK HERE FOR JONNY WILKINSON GALLERY "For the Farnham RUFC 25th Anniversary booklet, I wrote an article which confirmed that my introduction to rugby was joining Farnham Under 7's with my brother Mark (Sparks). Although I didn't know it at the time, this proved to be the start of my rugby career. Ten years later: Whilst playing for Farnham Sparks was always a year ahead of me. However, we did play a few games together as a combined side at Under 16/Under 17 level. Sparks played for Surrey Under 17s and I was with Hampshire. I joined Lord Wandsworth College and Sparks went to Alton College and so we never played together again.............until September 2002 when Sparks and I started for Newcastle Falcons against Leeds. It was his debut at inside centre, having played at second row and back row when at Farnham and it was a tremendous thrill to play along side him. Hopefully, this partnership will continue. We currently share a house together in the countryside outside Newcastle where we are very happy and enjoy a quiet private life. Time may not allow us to visit too often, but both Sparks and I maintain a huge interest in the Club and follow the results regularly via our dad".
